Dance Clarinets
Greenwich House Music School’s Dance Clarinets is a jazz orchestra comprised of twenty musicians (clarinets with percussion, piano, and bass), drawn from professional musicians from all over New York City who perform together with GHMS students. The group was founded ten years ago by woodwind faculty member J. D. Parran.
This program is supported, in part, by public funds from NYU, the New York State Council on the Arts, the offices of Governor Kathleen Hochul, and the New York State Legislature. The ensemble, their work, and bi-annual performances are presented in memory of James Jabbo Ware.
